“Take a chance on me…” from Mamma Mia ran through my head as I drove to Ashli + Trevor’s engagement session. I had done my homework, picked the spot, researched some ideas, and practiced… a lot. I wanted to create a moment and experience that would be memorable; just like what my husband and I felt in our own engagement session. Little did I know, the session would be an outdoor wonderful that created light and bright photos they’ll cherish forever.
We met at a small ice cream shop outside of Iowa City and chatted about their love story of meeting each other + how they’ve been friends from neighboring towns. By each glance at each other, the giddy giggles, and sweet snuggles, I knew these two were the real deal. I appreciated that they let me into their exciting journey + story that will forever be a part of their lives and they chose me to capture it. Most importantly, I’m so glad they took a chance on each other.
There is no doubt our shoot was an example of a beautiful fall day, sun shining just perfectly through the trees, and evidence that chances taken, are always worth it.
