It is sessions like this that make me so grateful to be an Iowa City maternity photographer. Last fall, I had the opportunity to meet Meleana and Colten as they prepared for their baby boy to come into the world! We were blessed with the most beautiful fall evening where the light was hitting just perfectly in Hickory Hill Park. When I first stepped out of the car to meet them, I could tell it was going to be an amazing session just by how beautiful their outfits looked, the weather, and their obvious love and chemistry. As an Iowa City maternity photographer, I love helping my clients choose their wardrobe with assistance of my client closet and wardrobe planning guide I send to each couple. The guide gives examples of what photographs well and suggestions to where you can go shopping. Once you inquire and book a session with MAP, you’ll be send the guide and will be given assistance and direction depending on what you and your family need!
The fall tones and their wardrobe set the perfect neutral scene to focus on them and their growing family. The sun soaked session was playful, giggly, and full of small kisses. The location for their session provided gorgeous light and sun while we even got to see a deer between shots. I appreciate Meleana and Colten’s willingness to open up, be playful, and share their love for their maternity shoot. It quickly became one of my favorites to date!
