One of my favorite things about being a motherhood and newborn photographer is connecting with so many wonderful mothers. Especially during the postpartum period, I know how nerve wracking and stressful it can be to welcome people into your home. I am thankful that not only do I get to capture these tender moments between your family and of your new little, but also the connection and conversation we get to have.

As a mom of two, back in the 4th trimester myself, I am constantly thinking about how powerful a community of mothers can be and how important it is for us to lift one another up. Women close to me and complete strangers have made such an impact on my postpartum experience and have supported me in various ways.

Hi there! It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself on my little corner of the gram! I’m Meagan Ash, a motherhood and family photographer in the Iowa City area!

A little about me..
🤍 I am a mother of two sweet babies! My daughter Emmie and my son Grayson.
🤍 My husband and I have been married for six years and have known each other since I was 19!
🤍 I am also a part-time elementary music teacher, and I’ve been singing all of my life!
🤍 My favorite season is summer because it involves all of my favorite things: flowers, sunshine, summer nights, and warm weather!

I LOVE capturing families and newborns for several reasons. I love watching your families grow and getting to be alongside you during the most precious moments of your life. I love connecting with you. I love creating images that will fill your walls, photo albums, and will be passed down for generations to enjoy. Thank you for welcoming me into your lives and homes! Today’s newborn image is so special because it features our new bundle of joy! Meet Grayson James! We welcome Grayson into the world in early January and he is the sweetest little babe! We are so thankful to have him in our arms and as part of our family. Thankful to be home snuggling with him but looking forward to also start photographing your sweet families this spring!
